LAI YIN KWIN OF MALACCA HIGH SCHOOL EXCELS IN SPM 2009

In the recent announcement of the SPM 2009 results yesterday, one of the Malacca High School student, Lai Yin Kwin performed well.

Lai was among the top 10 students in the SPM 2009 results in Malaysia.

We will like to express our congratulations to Lai for an excellent result in the 2009 SPM. At the same time, we wish to extend our congratulations to the teachers of Malacca High for preparing all the students for the SPM results.

For other students in Malacca High, try to emulate Lai and excel in your studies and extramural activities.

On 1st. March 2010, MAHSOPA donated a sum of RM 40,000.00 to the Malacca High School Cadet Band Fund in a formal cheque handover ceremony to Malacca High Principal at Malacca High School Hall.

The Avillion Admiral Cove at Port Dickson can organise Evening Cruises on the Straits of Malacca from 5.00 pm to 8.00pm.

TUN ABDULLAH SALLEH SCHOLARSHIP FUND

TUN ABDULLAH SALLEH SCHOLARSHIP FUND

MAHSOPA is the custodian and Board of Trustees for the Tun Abdullah Salleh ScholarshipFund.The fund was set up by the Association on the 5th. day of July, 1978.

Previous to that date, the Association handed out examination fees under the Subsidy Scheme. Donations to the Fund are tax exempted vide Gazette Notification LN 1755/1979.

The first contributor was Datuk Tamby Chik bin Haji Hassan.

Over the years, a number of students have benefitted under the Subsidy Scheme.

The objectives of the Fund are :

Welcome to the homepage of Melaka High School Old Pupils' Association in Federal Territory and Selangor (MAHSOPA).

MAHSOPA was established in 1976 so that old pupils residing in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor can meet up with each other irrespective of their years in Malacca High School.

From time to time, MAHSOPA has volunteered her services in raising funds for their Alma Mater such as for examination fees for poor pupils of the School.

Alumni of Malacca schools plan bash to mark official retirement age

Five is a significant number to this group of friends who have known each since their primary school days.

Born in 1955, they already are, or will be, 55 this year.

While a few have kept their friendship since being pupils of the Bandar Hilir English School (BHES) in Malacca (1962-67) and later the Malacca High School (1968-72/74), a core group has been holding regular annual reunions since turning 50 in 2005.

Time: 8.30pm onwards

All ex pupils of BHES and HSM of the 1945-47 generation are welcomed to this annual meeting of old friends for a night of camaraderie and nostalgia.]

MAHSOPA FAMILY VISIT ON 1ST. FEBRUARY 2010 TO FLOWER FARM AT SEMENYIH,SELANGOR

1st. February 2010

MAHSOPA 1st. Family Visit for 2010 was successfully held this morning. A delegation of 11 MAHSOPA members and their family members visited the largest South East Asia lowland farm at Semenyih. Hosted by ex-MHS pupil, Dato' Halim Ali, we were met up at the farm at about 10.00am.
